A minha experiência, como professora de Inglês na UATI – Pólo de Albufeira, começou há sete anos. Neste percurso, as actividades de ensino aprendizagem, no âmbito da disciplina, têm contribuído para o meu enriquecimento pessoal, social e profissional, assim como para o desenvolvimento das competências linguísticas e conhecimentos dos alunos.
O programa da disciplina ultrapassa a competência linguística e abrange sempre a componente sociocultural, o que permite aos alunos uma aprendizagem da língua Inglesa tanto quanto possível agradável e interessante.
Entre os temas seleccionados, para o ano lectivo em curso, passo a destacar os seguintes:

Planos de viagem

Refeições
Manutenção física
Compras na cidade
Correspondência
Apontamentos culturais
Estilo de vida britânico.

E sempre que possível é introduzida, no programa, a leitura de short stories.
Quero agradecer aos meus alunos a troca de experiências e faço votos para que continuem a apostar, de uma forma empenhada, na formação contínua.

My experience, as an English teacher in the UATI – Pólo de Albufeira, began seven years ago. During this time the activities of the teaching-learning process, in the extent of the discipline, has contributed to my personal, social and professional enrichment, as well as the development of the students’ language skills and general knowledge.
The programme of the education exceeds the language skills and always includes the socio-cultural element which allows the students a grounding in the English language which is, as far as possible, both interesting and enjoyable.
From among the subjects chosen for the year’s course I have picked out the following ones:

Plans for the journey
Meals
Physical fitness
Shopping in the town
Correspondence
General cultural subjects
British lifestyle.

And whenever possible the reading of short stories is always introduced into the programme.
I am grateful to my students for the exchange of experiences and I hope they will continue to be motivated to carry on learning.
